User Registration Privacy Statement

The IPD web portal mandates user registration to access its services. The purpose of collecting this information is to facilitate continuous enhancement of the image repository in collaboration with healthcare partners and IIIT Hyderabad. This data may be shared with researchers for academic inquiry and with other registered users for commercial, scientific, and educational pursuits.

Additionally, the IPD web portal logs IP addresses and aggregates user query data. These records, along with user registration details, are strictly utilized for internal reporting by data foundation team and IIIT Hyderabad to enhance the portal's functionality based on user requirements. We pledge not to distribute, disclose, sell, or transfer any personal data to external entities. When users communicate with us via email, we retain the correspondence and associated email addresses solely for the purpose of electronic response. Unless mandated by law, we do not publicly reveal the identities of individuals who contact us through our website. Moreover, we do not collect personally identifiable information from website visitors unless voluntarily provided.

To safeguard the integrity of our systems, we reserve the right to monitor system access in cases of malicious activity aimed at disrupting our online services or gaining unauthorized entry into IPD systems.

Data Usage Policy

Users of the IPD portal are subject to the following terms:

  1. Individuals or subjects whose imaging and clinical data are stored in the IPD system must not be identified or contacted using any information within the system or elsewhere.
  2. Users are accountable if the downloaded imaging and/or clinical data is utilized to identify or contact research subjects or participants in the future.
  3. Users must log into IPD using their assigned username and password to access image downloads.
  4. IPD will maintain log files to link downloaded imaging and clinical data with the initiating user.
  5. Users are required to acknowledge the specific dataset in all presentations, disclosures, and publications.
  6. Each dataset in the IPD system is accompanied by data usage policy information, which users must adhere to.

Acknowledgement Policy

All individuals and groups are welcome to utilize the de-identified dataset provided by IPD for their research and development endeavors. It is essential to reference the IPD website (https://hai.iiit.ac.in/ipd) and cite the corresponding article/publication for respective datasets.
